Jake stopped the old pick-up truck just along the edge of the forest. The sun was starting to set, sending rays of bright orange between the branches of the thick woods.

Eric hopped out of the passenger's seat. 25-year old Eric with short, blonde hair and a thin beard. Eric was the type of guy girl's wanted. He was smart, and had a nice build, too.

Jake reached into the back and tossed a few bags to Eric. Jake's long, black hair, thick beard, and menacing stare made him less wanted than Eric, but Jake had more muscle than him.

"Okay," Jake locked up the car and took a bag from Eric. "We can set up camp somewhere deeper into the woods."

They headed off into the woods, and Eric said, " So we walk for about an hour, and then pitch the tent."

"Did you bring your guitar?"

Eric hit one of his bags lightly. "You?"

Jake nodded and they walked the rest of the way in silence.

Jake and Eric planned on going camping for a long time. The two best friends would spend a good two nights away from technology, living in the nature. They brought no phones and no canned food, they planned on relying on the forest for most things.

When they got to a small clearing, they stopped and threw down their bags.

"Okay, let's get this started!" Jake took out the tent and they pitched it up in a matter of time. They got their sleeping bags ready and everything sorted out, then they lit a fire and sat down.

"What song do you wanna sing?" Eric got his guitar out, and Jake did, soon after.

"Whatever."

The two sang a bunch of random songs until the moon was out and they decided to rest up for tomorrow. Singing and strumming for hours without a single care in the world.

"I'm all set." Eric climbed into his sleeping bag and yawned.

"'Night Eric." Jake got into his beside Eric.

"Can't wait for tomorrow!"

"Just sleep." Jake whispered.

Eric had no idea what was going to happen next.

Jake sat there for about half an hour and waited until Eric was snoring soundly before he slid out of his sleeping bag and climbed out of the tent.

He didn't sleep yet, but he was getting kinda tired. Jake looked up and saw the moon was shining bright in the sky, in a way, smiling at him.

"Tonight." A smile formed across his face.

He walked to the edge of their little camp and sat on a rock. He waited quietly, the only sounds he could hear were his breathing, and the low hoots of the owls.

In the distance, a faint howl filled the air with a chill.

"It's coming." Jake stood up and braced himself for his transformation.

A sharp pain threw Jake to the ground, but he didn't scream. He simply smiled.

Jake looked at his hands and saw that his fingernails were growing out and stretching into long, sharp, claws. He started laughing as they peaked their height and curved a little, then turned yellow.

Jake got up onto all fours and continued to laugh as his bones started to reform. His back arced and he dug his nails into the ground. His spine curved and snapped as his structure was morphing into a more wolf-like form, and he liked it.

Jake's smile faded slightly and he clenched his teeth as he was thrown onto his back and he felt his organs push through his ribs, breaking them. His lungs expanded along with his other organs as they moved around his body and blew up into larger forms. His heart's beating got faster as his ribs and sternum fixed themselves together into a wider form.

Jake panted for a bit, but then his arms locked up and he rolled onto his stomach. He clenched his teeth as his arms snapped and mended themselves and twisted into odd positions to fit his new form better.

He stood up and leaned on a tree for support as his legs stretched out and he felt himself get a foot taller. The smile reformed on his face as his bones snapped into place and started to feel better.

Jake leaned against the tree, his arms crossed, and he panted impatiently. He always hated the long gap between bone and muscle. As he rubbed his hand on his face, he noticed that his beard was growing longer.

He twitched his nose and noticed he could smell his sweat. His senses were getting better as his nose grew slightly larger and his ears pointed so he could hear Eric snore even from out here.

"Yes!"

Jake let out a faint scream as a red hot pain burned his skin. He fell onto his knees and held in screams as his muscles started to morph.

He smiled at the moon, showing teeth that slowly pointed out into deadly fangs, especially his canines. Jake's eyes slowly faded out from dark brown and started glowing yellow. A deadly yellow.

A force pulled Jake upright and his shoulders pulled back. Jake looked down and smiled as he saw his chest starting to push outwards; the muscles on his body were expanding.
Jakes chest pushed out and his pectoral muscles could easily be seen defined through his shirt. The center of the neck of the shirt ripped a bit, and Jake's chest blew out so much that his nipples could clearly be seen through his shirt.

A hard pain hit him around his abdomen and Jakes pulled the bottom of his shirt up with shaking hands. His faint six-pack was now pushing outwards and the skin around it was tightening as each section bubbled out even more. Jake put his shirt back down and stared at his arms.

His biceps were quickly growing out so that his arms doubled in size. He laughed as they grew out even more so that his sleeve tightened around his inflated arms. His forearms followed afterwards.

Jakes shoulders grew, too, and the sleeves of his shirt felt even tighter.

Jake looked back down and saw that his abs now grew into an eight-pack that could be seen right through his shirt which was starting to choke him. He pushed himself onto all fours and rose his shoulders up as his back started to grow.

The muscles pushed his spine downwards into an odd reverse-arc and muscles pushed across his back. They also grew around Jake's spine so that each little vertebrae made a lump on the back of his shirt.

Jake turned his head sideways to view his right arm when he heard a quiet ripping. His huge muscles were too much for the fabric of his shirt and his sleeves started to tear from the top. It slowly tore away until the rip reached his shoulder and his arms were now free from the tight cloth.

His arms were sticky from the sweat, but the cool wind quickly dried them off.

Jake let himself fall to the ground, then he rolled over and panted as he waited for his muscles to continue growing. He could still hear quiet pops and cracks from his bones.
Suddenly, Jake screamed as his back arced and his chest muscles grew out more and more, the rip that started on the neck of his shirt grew longer and wider as his chest pushed out even further and the rip slowly crawled down his torso so more and more of his muscles were clearly visible. The rip stopped right under his abs, and he rolled back onto all fours again.

Jake clenched his teeth again, but with a sort of smile as he rose his back up above his head in an odd curve, and he felt it grow even more. The muscles expanded and soon the lumps on his back poked through his shirt, causing small rips that slowly combined together as his back grew and widened the rips.

The rip of his shirt soon cut across his back, in sync with the one on his front so his shirt was merely hanging by the thin strips from what was left of his sleeve.
Jake jumped back up onto his feet and his smile grew into a crazed grin as his tongue grew and hung out of his mouth.

Jake felt his legs bubble like his arms did and his shorts ripped off him and fell down near his shoes, leaving him in just underwear. Jake's feet stretched out further and he looked down to see small nails pop out from the front of his shoe. In a matter of time, his shoes broke completely as wide, non-human feet ripped through the rubber.

Small pinches covered Jake's body and he soon realised that his hair around his body was starting to lengthen. His beard grew even thicker and his hair lengthened down to his shoulders. Jake's armpit hair grew into large tufts and his eyebrows looked bushier.

His crazed grin grew into a crazed laugh as hair quickly sprouted onto his body, starting with a mane of hair around his neck that dropped down into a thin line at the middle of his chest.

When he ran his arm down his side, he felt that it was also covered in hair. Jet black fur soon covered Jake's body in a thin layer and Jake started to look like a monster.

Jake felt his throat start to move around and his vocal chords started to tear and reform again and again until a fierce roar came from his mouth.

Eric woke up, frightened to find that Jake was out of his sleeping bag. Eric slowly got out of the tent and saw what used to be Jake.

Jake looked at Eric and held up his hand, which started to thicken into a paw as a thicker layer of fur sprouted over it.

Jake let out a howl as his brow ridge lowered and he felt his nose grow even larger, large enough so that it reached down to his mouth. He started laughing as his nose was merging together with his mouth and stretching outwards into a wolf-like muzzle.

His muzzle grew outwards and all he could let out were roars as his teeth clashed against each other as they moved around Jake's lengthening mouth.

Eric stepped back in shock and looked up at the moon. It was a bright, shining, full moon. "No...Werewolves don't exist!"

Jake's transformation neared completion as his muzzle snapped into place and his ears crawled up to the top of his head. A jolt of pain hit Jake's lower spine, but he shook it off as his tailbone stretched out and formed his tail which swayed back and forth.
The final layer of jet black hair grew out over his body and his bones finished their placement.

His heels rose from the ground, making Jake look even deadlier as his muscles finished their growth. He let out a long, fierce, howl to the moon as his underwear ripped off of his body, and Eric's transformation completed. He was now a werewolf.

Eric froze in shock as the beast slowly walked towards him, deadly yellow eyes and a thick coat of fur. Eric noticed that the figure was also very muscular. When the monster stopped just in front of Eric, it was a good two feet above him, and his cold, evil, stare sent fear and panic through Eric's body.

"J-J-J-J-Jake?" Eric stammered. "Is that you?"

The werewolf let out a long roar, sending owls flying away from where they stood.

"Yes, Eric." The werewolf's voice was fierce and deep. It was the voice that sent chills down your spine. "It is me."

"No..." Eric stared at Jake. "It can't be. How long have you...?"

"Three years. Just before we met."

"And you never told me?!" Eric stepped back, filled with anger. "Didn't you trust me?!"

"I did."

"Then why was it a secret for almost three years?!"

"It wasn't my decision, Eric." Jake's voice rose and Eric stepped back.
"What do you mean?"

"I'm no alpha. I can't make the rules, Eric, but I've finally convinced the alpha in my pack to let me make my decision."

Eric calmed down and looked up at Jake, curious. Both of them were panting.

"Decision?"  Eric asked.

"Yes." Eric rose his paw slowly until it was level with Eric's neck. Palm upwards and a crazed smile, he said, "Join me."

Eric froze in shock. "Join you? As in...be a werewolf, too?"

Jake nodded.

Eric thought about it. Suffering through a painful transformation once a month, having to live with that secret, and being a fierce monster that may end up killing people. Eric didn't want to be a werewolf. He was happy as he was.

"What if...I say no?" Eric looked up at Jake.

Jake casually put his paw on Eric's shoulder and said, "Then I'll kill you."

Eric stepped back and Jake's paw slid off his shoulder. "Kill me? Don't you think that's a little harsh? We're best friends, aren't we?"

Jake shook his head. "It's the rule of the pack, Eric. Nobody can know you're a werewolf unless they're one, or you kill them. I'm doing this to protect my family."

"Don't you trust me, Jake?!"

"The choice is not mine. You know of my curse, and now you have to choose."

"But I don't want to be a werewolf!"

"Then I'll have to kill you!" Jake raised his claw high in the air.

"No!" Eric fell onto both knees. "Why, Jake? Why'd you have to bring this on me?"

"I thought we could be one." Jake put his claw down. "I wanted you to join my family. For you to experience the happiness and freedom that I can."

"What if I just want to live a normal life?" Eric looked up at him.

Jake's fierce, evil, face turned into one that was filled with pity. "That is no longer an option. Join me or die, the choice is yours."

Eric closed his eyes and though it through. Life. He'd choose life over death, even if it means carrying a curse. Eric stood up and looked at Jake. He was confident with his decision.

"Do it." Eric whispered.

Jake stepped forwards and grabbed Eric's shoulders. "Welcome to the family, brother."

Jake reached down and bit Eric's shoulder. Eric screamed in pain as Jake's sharp teeth pinched through his skin and tightened around his shoulder. Jake's weight pushed Eric down onto one knee, but Jake didn't stop. He kept his bite around Eric until he was sure that the bite was deep enough to sink in.

When Jake let go, Eric flopped down onto all fours, frozen from shock as blood dripped down his torso and soaked his shirt.

"How long until it starts?" Eric looked up at Jake, who was now smiling.

"Just a few minutes. It'll hurt, but you can't die." Jake said it so calmly, it creeped Eric out.

Eric hated Jake from putting him through this. It was all Jake's fault Eric had to go through this. It was Jake who ruined their amazing camping trip they planned for weeks. Jake ruined everything, including Eric's life.

Eric stared into those bright, yellow, eyes that belonged to the beast he called his friend. The one who betrayed him and ruined everything. Eric was going to get his revenge someday.

"Ahh!" Eric screamed as he fell to the ground. He looked up at Jake who was surely laughing at Eric, weak and helpless on the ground.

He felt his teeth sharpen and his eyes turned golden yellow. Eric was transforming. Eric's bones reformed, and his muscles expanded like Jake's did. His clothes ripped off and his muzzle grew out. Eric screamed the whole time, but after about twenty minutes, Eric's transformation was complete, and he was in full wolf form.

"Don't worry; it's not always like that." Jake gave Eric his paw and Eric got up. "Only the first time, when you're just bitten."

Eric looked a lot like Jake when in his werewolf form. Eric's fur a was smooth brown that fell straight down his body. He wasn't as muscular as Jake even in wolf-form, but his muscles were still massive. His wolf-form was more agile. He was quicker than Jake, but nowhere near as strong. Eric stood about half a foot under Jake, and looked like Jake's lost little brother.

"Come, quick." Jake called for Eric, who wasn't used to being a werewolf. "The pack's probably nearby."

Jake leaped forwards and started running on all fours, he swiftly leaped into the trees and could no longer be seen by Eric. Eric, on the other hand, had no idea how to control his new form. Eric stumbled forwards on his two feet, and fell.

"Heh, I remember when I was like you." Jake turned back for Eric and laughed. "You'll get used to it, now let's go."

Eric got up again and slowed down his walking on his odd, heavy, body. It was so unlike a human's body, but it was still Eric's.

Eric sighed as Jake quickly sprinted forwards and let out a howl. Eric tried a howl, too. All that came out was an odd whimper.

This will be a long night... Eric thought as he walked forwards to meet up with Jake.
This may be the start to a series, can't decide yet :)

But this one mainly focuses on the transformation of a man named Jake, who turns his best friend.
